Our Return Process
We take so much joy in hand-cutting every yard specifically for your creative projects! Because our fabrics and supplies are carefully prepared for you, this return policy applies to all items sold in our shop. Since each piece of fabric is tucked away in our inventory as "sold" the moment it leaves the bolt, we’ve designed our process to be as fair and clear as possible:

A Quick Check: To find a new home for the item, it must be in its original condition—uncut, unwashed, and free of any scents (like perfume or smoke). Since we can’t restore fabric once it’s been altered, we can only accept materials that are exactly as they were when they left our shop.

Say Hello: Please send us a note at hello@prettylittlehedgehog.com within 7 calendar days of receiving your order so we can get your return authorized. We’ll send over all the details on where to send your package. To make sure your refund finds its way back to you smoothly, please wait for this confirmation before shipping.

Pack with Love: Please gently fold your fabric and place it in a waterproof mailer or bag (the original packaging is perfect!) to keep it safe from the elements on its journey home.

The Trip Back: As a small, independent shop, we kindly ask that you cover the return shipping costs. While big-box stores often hide "free" shipping costs inside higher markups, we prefer to keep our fabric prices as low and honest as possible for the entire sewing community.
- Pro-Tip: To save a bit of money, we recommend using Pirate Ship. It’s completely free for you to use and gives you access to the same deeply discounted rates (up to 89% off!) that we use as a business. You can print a label at home and skip the line at USPS or UPS.
- Keep it Tracked: We suggest using a tracked service so we can both watch your fabric arrive safely at our studio.
- Your Refund: Once your item arrives and is inspected, we will issue a refund to your original payment method. Because returned fabric must be re-measured and sold as a "remnant" or at a discount, a 20% restocking and processing fee (minimum $5.99) will be deducted from your total.
If We Made a Mistake
If we sent the wrong item or there’s a flaw we missed, please let us know right away! In these cases, we’ll waive all fees and make it right immediately—your creative success and happiness mean the world to us.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Order Cancellation Policy
We totally get it—sometimes plans change! 💌 If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
Once an order has been processed or has begun production, it cannot be canceled or changed. This includes orders that have already been prepared, packed, or sent to our shipping queue.

We are so touched by the interest in our fabrics from all over the world! At this time, we only ship to addresses within the United States.
As a small shop, focusing on domestic shipping allows us to ensure every hand-cut order arrives quickly and safely without the complexities of international customs or high overseas rates. We hope to grow and expand our reach in the future, but for now, we are happy to serve our sewing community right here at home!
