Rob Hodgson is a talented designer, illustrator and author who currently resides in Bristol, a quaint coastal town in England. He studied illustration at university and has been continuously working on a multitude of projects. His much loved artistic style combines traditional processes like relief printing with cut paper or wood carving and digitized drawings. He cites Hockney, Klee, Alexander Girard and Yoko Ono as some of his influences.

Rob is the author and illustrator of two children’s books, “The Cave” and “The Woods” and is finishing a third book about an unlikely friendship between a mouse and an owl. His charming tales along with his whimsical drawings are a winning combination that is attracting a wide audience.

Cotton+Steel is proud to have Rob design his first textile collection showcasing his amusing characters with an array of colors and wonderful textures.
